7 Ways to Support C.O.P.S. Arizona

Our C.O.P.S. Arizona family is committed to our mission: Rebuilding shattered lives of survivors and co-workers affected by line of duty deaths. Our membership consists of more than 300 families and coworkers of fallen officers, and we provide them with trial and parole support, law enforcement agency training, scholarships, annual retreats, counseling services, peer-support, and more.

If you feel just as strongly as we do about uplifting and supporting Arizona survivors in the wake of line of duty deaths, you may wonder how you can help. Here are seven different ways to support C.O.P.S. Arizona.

1. Make a Donation

The most straightforward way to contribute to the resources we offer our survivors is to make a donation. C.O.P.S. Arizona is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and our programs and services are all funded by private donations.

2. Buy a License Plate

Another way to contribute funds to the organization and visibly show your support while you’re on the road (both for local law enforcement, and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their communities) is to buy a C.O.P.S. Arizona license plate. This is our biggest fundraising effort each year.

3. Download the C.O.P.S. Arizona App

Whether you’re a member of C.O.P.S. Arizona or simply a supporter, you can stay in the loop on our upcoming events and announcements more easily by downloading our free mobile app.

4. Volunteer

If making a monetary donation is not financially feasible, there are other ways you can contribute to the cause you love. C.O.P.S. Arizona always welcomes volunteers to assist with our community events, fundraising efforts, and services to survivors.

If you are interested in volunteering email COPS Arizona at info@copsarizona.org

5. Raise Awareness on Social Media

Even if you don’t have time in your schedule to volunteer, there is an easy way to lend a hand. Share our posts on your social media pages and bring awareness about our mission to your network of friends and colleagues.

6. Observe National Police Week

National Police Week is observed annually around Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15. Each year, Concerns of Police Survivors participates by bringing families and coworkers of fallen officers to Washington D.C. for support groups, grief counseling, fellowship, a memorial service, a candlelight vigil, and more.

Spend this week honoring and remembering fallen officers and raising awareness for survivors in your community.

7. Participate in Project Blue Light

During the holiday season and on National Police Week, you can honor fallen police officers by participating in the nationwide movement Project Blue Light. Simply place a bright blue LED light in your window as part of your holiday decorations, signifying a memorial to the fallen officers who were killed in the line of duty and the families who are missing them during this time of the year.

C. O. P. S. Arizona is dedicated to rebuilding shattered lives of survivors and co-workers affected by line of duty deaths. We offer programs and scholarships for survivors in our local Arizona chapter. For more information, visit https://www.copsarizona.org/.
